Checkout Complete But Access Has Not Updated Yet

You just completed checkout but dreamif.ai still looks the same? Reload the page. The plan update takes a moment to sync from Stripe.

What you should see#

Checkout sends you back to the Billing page with ?checkout=success in the URL. While Stripe is still confirming, a toast reads "Checkout complete" with "Your subscription is being finalized. This page will update automatically while Stripe webhook sync completes."

If you subscribed during onboarding, you land on the completion step instead, where the button reads "Activating plan..." and the text below it reads "Access is still updating."

What to do#

  1. Stay on the page. It checks for the confirmation on its own every few seconds for about a minute.
  2. If you already navigated away, open the avatar menu, choose Billing, and reload.
  3. Check whether the heading now reads Manage your plan with your new tier.

A short delay is normal. It does not mean checkout failed.

Why the app still redirects you#

Dashboard, People, Nurture, and Chat require an active subscription, so they keep sending you back to the billing page until Stripe confirms the payment. Only /onboarding, /settings, and /security stay open in the meantime. Nothing is broken. Those routes open on their own once the subscription lands.

Setup you saved earlier replays on its own#

Any nurture, label, Drive, or research setup you saved before paying was held with "Saved. This setup will finish after subscribing." Once the subscription is confirmed, the billing page replays that work for you. See What happens to setup you saved before subscribing.

If it still has not updated after a few minutes#

  • Do not retry checkout. Your payment already went through, and Stripe sent you a receipt.
  • Check the card statement or the Stripe receipt email to confirm the charge landed.
  • Note the plan and dates showing on the billing page.
  • Email support@dreamif.ai with your account email and what you expected to change.

If checkout never opened in the first place#

Some links send you to /billing/start, which creates the Stripe session and forwards you. If it fails, that page shows the error and a link back: Return to setup when you came from onboarding, or Return to billing otherwise. Follow it and start checkout again from the plan cards. If the Billing page shows "Could not open billing portal", wait a few seconds and click the button again.
