Why A Contact Sync Did Not Complete
Contact sync stalled? Check Google Contacts permission first, then check whether email processing is still running.
Most common causes#
- Google Contacts permission is missing. Go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect Google access so you can grant Contacts permission.
- Email processing is still running. dreamif.ai builds your People list from both Google Contacts and email history. If email processing is still going, some contacts may appear later.
- Large account. Big accounts take longer. Wait and try syncing again.
What to try#
- Check permissions at Settings > Integrations.
- Retry the sync once from the People page. Click Sync Contacts.
- Wait a few minutes before retrying if the button changes to Syncing…
"The contact I expected is not there"#
The person may only exist in your email history and not in Google Contacts. Use the Source filter on the People page to check: filter by Gmail to see email-derived contacts, or Contacts for Google Contacts imports.
