Why A Contact Sync Did Not Complete

Contact sync stalled? Check Google Contacts permission first, then check whether email processing is still running.

Most common causes#

  1. Google Contacts permission is missing. Go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect Google access so you can grant Contacts permission.
  2. Email processing is still running. dreamif.ai builds your People list from both Google Contacts and email history. If email processing is still going, some contacts may appear later.
  3. Large account. Big accounts take longer. Wait and try syncing again.

What to try#

  1. Check permissions at Settings > Integrations.
  2. Retry the sync once from the People page. Click Sync Contacts.
  3. Wait a few minutes before retrying if the button changes to Syncing…

"The contact I expected is not there"#

The person may only exist in your email history and not in Google Contacts. Use the Source filter on the People page to check: filter by Gmail to see email-derived contacts, or Contacts for Google Contacts imports.
