Sync Contacts From Google

Import your Google Contacts into dreamif.ai so everyone is in one place — ready for follow-ups, notes, and nurture.

Before you sync#

Make sure dreamif.ai has Google Contacts permission. If you skipped that during setup, reconnect Google access from Settings > Integrations first.

Steps#

  1. Go to the People page.
  2. Click Sync Contacts (top of the page, next to the search bar).
  3. The button changes to Syncing… while the import runs.
  4. Wait for the sync to finish.

Why your People list has contacts you did not sync#

dreamif.ai builds the People list from two sources:

  • Google Contacts: imported when you click Sync Contacts.
  • Your email history: dreamif.ai automatically finds people you have emailed.

So you may see contacts in People before you ever sync. Syncing adds structured data from Google Contacts, like phone numbers, on top of what email parsing found.

If the button is disabled#

The tooltip says "Email indexing is still in progress. Please check back soon." dreamif.ai needs to finish reading your email history before contacts sync is available. Come back in a few minutes.

If contacts are still missing after syncing#

  • Check Google Contacts permission in Settings > Integrations.
  • The missing person may only exist in your email history and not in Google Contacts.
  • Try syncing again. The first sync does not always capture everything on large accounts.

Why Sync Contacts Is Unavailable During Setup
The Sync Contacts button is grayed out because dreamif.ai is still reading through your email history. Wait for it to finish, then try again.
