Create And Manage Contact Notes

After a call or showing, add a note to the contact so you remember what was discussed. Notes are private. Your contacts never see them.

Add a note#

  1. Open the contact's detail sheet from the People page.
  2. On the History tab, click Add note.
  3. Optionally add a Title (up to 120 characters). Use a title when you want to find the note later, like "Prefers east-facing units" or "Meeting notes, March 15."
  4. Write the note body (up to 20,000 characters).
  5. Click Save.

You can also add notes by voice if you are in an active voice session in Chat.

Edit a note#

Find the note in the History timeline, open it, make your changes, and click Save.

Delete a note#

Find the note in the History timeline, click Delete, and confirm. Deletion is permanent.

Where notes appear#

Notes live in the contact's History timeline. Filter the timeline by Notes to see just notes, or leave it on All to see everything in chronological order.
