What Google Contacts Sync Does And Does Not Import
Your People list includes both Google Contacts and people dreamif.ai found in your email history. Here is how to tell where a contact came from and what to do if someone is missing.
"I see someone I never added. Where did they come from?"#
dreamif.ai automatically creates People records from your email history. If you have emailed someone, they can appear in People even if they are not in your Google Contacts. Use the Source filter (filter by Gmail vs Contacts) to see where each person came from.
"I synced but someone is missing. Why?"#
A few possibilities:
- The contact may not be in your Google Contacts — check your Google Contacts list directly.
- If you just synced, give it a moment to finish processing.
- If the Sync Contacts button was disabled, dreamif.ai is still reading your email history and cannot sync yet. Try again later.
"Does syncing bring in phone numbers?"#
Yes. If a contact has a phone number in Google Contacts, syncing imports it into dreamif.ai and displays it on the contact detail sheet.
