What Happens After You Connect Your Account
After you connect, dreamif.ai reads through your email history in the background. You can use the product right away, and features get better as it finishes.
What dreamif.ai is doing#
- Reading your email history. This always happens. dreamif.ai learns about your contacts, your writing style, and your communication patterns.
- Reading calendar history. Only if you connected Google Calendar.
- Preparing search and drafting, so when you ask dreamif.ai to find an email or draft a reply, it has context to work with.
While indexing runs you may see "Indexing Gmail." or "Gmail is catching up." in places that depend on fresh mail, such as the label preview.
Contact sync is separate#
dreamif.ai does not automatically import your Google Contacts. You start that yourself from the People page when you are ready. See Sync contacts from Google.
Contact sync also needs an active subscription. Without one, Sync Contacts shows the toast "Contact sync is available after subscribing." Everything else on this page runs regardless.
How long it takes#
Depends on how much email you have. A lightly used account finishes in minutes. An account with years of email takes longer. You do not need to wait. Use the product while it runs.
If it seems stuck#
Check these first:
- Missing access. Go to Settings > Integrations > Google and read the Gmail tile in the Google access card.
- Unfinished setup. Calendar and Drive each have an automation toggle that has to be on before they do anything.
- Still running. Large accounts take time. If the progress indicators are still updating, give it more time.
