What Google permissions dreamif.ai needs

dreamif.ai asks for Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and Contacts access one service at a time, not all at sign-in. Here is what each permission covers and what breaks without it.

Access is granted one service at a time#

Signing in asks Google for your identity and nothing else. Each product permission is a separate consent screen, requested when you actually need it: at the Connect Google step in onboarding, or later from a tile on Settings > Integrations > Google.

In onboarding, Gmail and Google Calendar are required. Google Contacts and Google Drive each offer Add now or Add later, so you can start without them and add them whenever.

Gmail#

Gmail is a single permission covering all four things dreamif.ai does with mail:

  • Read your emails so it can learn your writing style and draft replies that sound like you.
  • Create and edit drafts.
  • Send a draft once you approve it.
  • Apply labels to your inbox.

Sending is part of the same grant as reading. There is no second permission to turn on before dreamif.ai can send a draft you approved.

Without it: dreamif.ai cannot read your inbox, draft replies, or send emails.

Calendar#

Calendar comes as several narrow permissions:

  • Create and update events, including by voice.
  • Read the list of calendars on your account, so you can pick which ones to use.
  • Read your calendar settings, such as your time zone.
  • Check when you are busy or free.

The last three are read-only. dreamif.ai can list your calendars and read your calendar settings; it cannot change either.

Without it: dreamif.ai cannot check when you are free or schedule meetings.

Drive#

Lets dreamif.ai:

  • Search your Drive files and reference documents when writing.
  • Attach Drive files to email drafts.

Without it: dreamif.ai cannot find your documents or attach files to emails.

Contacts#

Lets dreamif.ai:

  • Sync your Google Contacts into the People area.
  • Combine Google Contacts with contact information from your email history.

Without it: The People list only includes contacts found in your email, not your full Google Contacts.

If you skipped a permission#

You do not need to start over, and you do not have to re-grant anything that already works. Go to Settings > Integrations > Google, find the service in the Google access card, and use its Connect or Reconnect button. Only that service is requested. The service turns on as soon as the permission is granted.

See Understand your Google access status for what each tile status means.
