Override A Contact's Buyer Or Seller Classification

Buyer searches missing? Seller property not showing up? dreamif.ai may have classified the contact wrong. Here is how to fix it.

Steps#

  1. Go to the People page and click the contact.
  2. Switch to the Nurture tab.
  3. Find the lead classification dropdown. It shows the current value (e.g., "Buyer prospect") with a badge: AI or Manual.
  4. Switch from AI (recommended) to Manual override.
  5. Choose the correct classification:
    • Buyer prospect — looking to buy, not yet a client
    • Seller prospect — thinking about selling, not yet a client
    • Buyer + seller prospect — both
    • Active buyer client — you are actively helping them buy
    • Active seller client — you have their listing
    • Active buyer + seller client — both
    • Not a lead — someone you do not plan to work with (a vendor, a personal contact, etc.)
  6. The change saves automatically.

Why this matters#

The classification controls what tools appear on the contact's Nurture tab. If someone is classified as a buyer, you see buyer searches. If they are a seller, you see seller property. If the classification is wrong, those tools are hidden — that is usually why they seem "missing."

When to override#

  • A buyer contact has no Buyer searches section.
  • A seller contact has no Seller property section.
  • A prospect just signed with you and is now an active client.
  • dreamif.ai thinks someone is a buyer when they are actually a seller (or vice versa).

For most contacts, AI (recommended) is fine. Only override when something is visibly wrong.
