Set up phone voice access
Verify your mobile number and set a six-digit PIN on Settings > Voice access, and you can reach the same assistant from an ordinary phone call. Phone minutes come out of the same voice quota as Chat.
What you need#
A US or Canadian mobile number that can receive a text message. Verification runs over SMS, so a landline or a VoIP line that can't take texts won't get through the first step.
Everything below lives on Settings > Voice access, a page titled Voice Access with three tabs: Access, Contact, and Instructions.
1. Verify your number#
- Go to Settings > Voice access and stay on the Access tab.
- Enter your mobile number.
- Click Send code.
- Type the code from the text message.
Once it verifies, that number is the one dreamif.ai recognizes on an incoming call and the one it dials for a callback. You can replace it later from the same row.
2. Set a PIN#
Click Set PIN, enter six digits, then enter them again to confirm. The row shows PIN set once it's saved, and the button becomes Change PIN.
The PIN is not optional in practice. Dial-in asks for it before connecting you, and the Call me now callback in Chat won't start without one. Pick something you can say out loud in a car without looking it up.
3. Decide how much verification a call needs#
Two controls on the Access tab set how careful the assistant is about proving it's you:
- Callback before access is a toggle. With it on, dreamif.ai hangs up on an inbound call and calls your verified number back before doing anything. Someone spoofing your caller ID gets nothing, because the connection only happens on a number you own.
- Session email alerts is a dropdown with three settings: Always emails you whenever a phone session starts, Suspicious or PIN-only narrows it to sessions that looked unusual or leaned on the PIN, and Off sends nothing at session start.

4. Save the assistant's number to your phone#
Open the Contact tab. It shows the number to call and offers a downloadable dreamif.ai Voice contact card. Download it on the phone you'll be calling from, and the assistant shows up by name in your recents instead of as an unknown number.
The number appears here and in the Call by phone dialog in Chat. It isn't published anywhere else.
5. Tell it how to talk#
The Instructions tab has one field, Speaking style, holding up to 4,000 characters. Whatever you write there shapes browser voice and phone calls alike. See Set your speaking style.
Click Save Settings#
Changes on this page save together. Click Save Settings at the bottom before you navigate away. Reset to Default sits next to it if you want to start over.
How phone time counts#
Phone minutes and browser voice minutes come out of the same pool. Plus includes 2 hours per billing period and Pro is unlimited, so an hour on the phone is an hour you no longer have in Chat if you're on Plus. A single call also stops at 60 minutes like a browser session does.
