Use Voice Controls In Chat
Start voice from Chat, mute or unmute your mic, stop a voice session, and understand the status labels.
Status labels#
While voice is active, Chat shows a status like:
- Listening
- Thinking
- Speaking
If you mute your mic during an active session, the status shows Muted.
Mute or unmute your mic#
Click the mic button in the voice bar to mute or unmute.
Muted means Chat will not hear you until you unmute.
Stop voice#
Click the stop button in the voice bar to end the session.
Remaining time (Plus)#
If you are on Plus, Chat shows a time badge like "12:34 left" while voice is running.
That is the remaining time for the current voice session.
