Edit And Send Drafts From Chat

Generate a draft#

In Chat, ask for the draft you want. Example prompts:

• "Draft a reply to the latest email from Scott about next week."
• "Write a follow-up to this buyer with three options for a call."

If the assistant needs context, it may ask which thread or contact you mean.

Edit the draft inline#

When a draft is active, Chat shows an inline editor.

You can edit:

• Recipients (To, Cc, Bcc)
• Subject
• Body
• Attachments (remove attachments from the strip)

If you leave the draft with unsaved edits, Chat warns about unsaved changes.

Save without sending#

Click Save and Don’t Send to save the draft without sending it.

Save and send now#

Click Save & Send Now to send the email.

After sending, Chat adds a short confirmation message in the conversation so you can tell it was sent.

Chat blocks sending until the basics are present:

• At least one recipient
• Message text in the body

If something is missing, you will see a message like:

• "Add a recipient before sending."
• "Add message text before sending."
