Manage Chat History

Open the chat list#

Click Chat in the sidebar to show or hide the pane. Its header reads Chats, with Back to menu above it to return to the main sidebar.

Threads with no messages yet are listed as "New chat".

Start a new chat#

Click New at the top of the pane. It is the plus-icon button, and hovering it shows the tooltip "New chat".

Then type your request in the composer and press Enter.

Find an old chat#

Use the Search chats… box at the top of the pane. It filters the list as you type.

Rename a chat#

1. Hover the chat in the pane and click the actions button that appears on its right.
2. Click Rename.
3. In the "Rename chat" dialog, enter a new title and save.

Delete a chat#

1. Hover the chat in the pane and click the actions button that appears on its right.
2. Click Delete.
3. The dialog "Delete chat?" explains: "This removes the chat from your history. You can undo it for a few seconds."
4. Click Delete to confirm, or Cancel to back out.

A toast appears afterwards with an undo action and the note "Undo within 5 seconds." Once that window closes, the chat is gone.
