Why Voice Can Edit Drafts But Cannot Send Yet

Voice can read and edit drafts but refuses to send? You need to grant Gmail send permission from Settings > Integrations.

Why this happens#

Voice draft editing requires basic Gmail read access. Sending requires a higher level of Gmail access that includes send permission. If you skipped it during setup, voice editing works but sending does not.

How to fix it#

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Connect Gmail again.
  3. Sign in with Google and grant Gmail send access.
  4. Return to Chat and try sending again.
