What Happens When A Payment Fails?

If a payment fails, Stripe automatically retries it over the following days. If it is never recovered, dreamif.ai removes paid access.

During the retry period#

While Stripe retries the payment:

  • dreamif.ai warns you that billing needs attention (including a sidebar notice).
  • You can update your payment method at any time.
  • Your paid access stays active while retries are in progress.

If payment is never recovered#

If all retries fail, dreamif.ai removes paid access. Your account and data stay. You only lose access to paid features until billing is resolved.

What does not happen#

A failed payment does not delete your account or erase your existing information.

What to do#

  1. Open Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Update payment method and update your payment method in the Stripe portal.
  3. Return to dreamif.ai and confirm your subscription is active again.

The sooner you fix the payment method, the less likely you are to lose paid access.
