Understand AI Preferences Settings
AI preferences holds five tabs: General, Replies, Nurture, Property, and Research & Tools. This is a map of what lives on each one and where the old voice field went.
Where to find it#
Click AI preferences under Account in the sidebar, or go to Settings > AI preferences.
The five tabs#

| Nurture | Who gets follow-ups, on what timing, and in what voice. |
| Property | Buyer and seller content for real-estate follow-ups. Shown only if your role is real estate. |
| Research & Tools | When dreamif.ai may use Calendar, Drive, and web research, and how to use each one. |
General#
Set Role and, under Describe your role, a sentence or two about what you do. dreamif.ai reads this before it writes anything.
Default location is described in the UI as "Used for local context and time zones." It is prefilled from your connection, and it feeds drafts, time zone handling, and nurture listings. See Set your default location.
The Features list shows the workflows you picked during onboarding. Each one has a Revisit action that reopens its setup.
Replies#
The Auto-draft replies toggle sits at the top. Turn it off and dreamif.ai stops writing reply drafts on its own.
While the toggle is on, two sub-tabs appear:
- Drafting behavior holds the controls for when a draft gets written and how long unsent drafts stick around. See Control when dreamif.ai drafts replies.
- Writing holds Reply criteria and Drafting style, the two text boxes that describe which mail deserves a reply and how those replies should read.
Turning Auto-draft replies off hides both sub-tabs. Your saved text stays put and comes back when you turn the toggle on again.
Nurture#
The Nurture tab carries the heading "Nurture Settings" and three panels: Targeting, Cadence, and Writing. Timing and tone live here; the touchpoints themselves live on the Nurture page. See Configure nurture settings.
Property#
Buyer and Seller sub-tabs control lead detection, what gets saved to a contact automatically, and how many listings or comps a draft may include. This tab only renders for the real-estate role.
Research & Tools#
Two sub-tabs, When to use and How to use, cover Calendar, Drive, and web research. Both split into a Replies section and a Nurture section. See Set tool defaults for Calendar, Drive, and web research.
Saving and field limits#
The save button reads Save Settings on every tab except Research & Tools, where it reads Save Tool Defaults.
Reply criteria and Drafting style each accept 2000 characters. Past that, saving fails with "Reply criteria is too long to save. Shorten it and try again." or "Drafting style is too long to save. Shorten it and try again." The tool guidance boxes on Research & Tools are shorter, at 600 characters each.
Start over if it gets messy#
Reset to Default sits in the footer bar. The confirmation dialog names what it is about to clear:
- "Reset reply preferences?" on the Replies tab
- "Reset tool defaults?" on Research & Tools
- "Reset manual preferences?" when reply preferences and tool defaults are reset together
If the reset does not go through you will see "Unable to reset preferences right now." Try again in a moment.
Where voice instructions went#
The old Voice Assistant Instructions field is no longer on this page. It now sits at Settings > Voice access > Instructions as Speaking style, and it governs both browser voice and phone calls. See Set your speaking style.
