Customize Reply Rules
Tell dreamif.ai which emails deserve replies and which to skip. For example: 'always reply to clients, skip newsletters.'
Steps#
-
Go to Settings > AI Preferences.
-
Find the Reply Criteria field.
-
Write your rules in plain English. For example:
"Always draft replies to emails from my clients and direct reports. Skip newsletters, calendar invites without questions, and automated notifications."
-
Click Save Settings.
Tips for good reply rules#
- Be specific about what to skip. "Skip low-priority email" is vague. "Skip newsletters, auto-replies, and promotional emails" is actionable.
- Name the important senders. "Always reply to emails from my team lead and my top 5 clients" works better than "reply to important people."
- Start simple. You can always refine later based on what dreamif.ai drafts replies for.
What reply rules do not control#
Reply rules only control which emails get draft replies. They do not change the tone, length, or content of those replies. For that, use Drafting Style.
Reply rules also do not turn dreamif.ai into an auto-responder. Every draft dreamif.ai creates waits for your review. Nothing is sent on your behalf without your explicit approval.
