Control when dreamif.ai drafts replies

Turn reply drafting on or off, set how selective it is, and decide how long unsent drafts sit in Gmail before dreamif.ai clears them.

Turn reply drafting on or off#

All four controls live at Settings > AI preferences > Replies.

Auto-draft replies is the master toggle at the top of that tab. It is on by default.

Turn it off and dreamif.ai stops writing reply drafts on its own. You can still ask for a draft in Chat or by voice. Turning it off also hides the Drafting behavior and Writing sub-tabs, and your saved text comes back untouched when you turn it on again.

Choose how selective it is#

On the Drafting behavior sub-tab, set When should dreamif.ai draft replies?

Option Behavior
Draft broadly Drafts whenever a reply could plausibly help.
Only when highly confident Drafts only when the right reply is clear, and skips borderline cases.

Pick Only when highly confident if you are finding drafts on threads that never needed one. Pick Draft broadly if you would rather delete a few extra drafts than miss one.

This setting decides how sure dreamif.ai has to be. Which senders and message types qualify at all is a separate control. See Customize reply rules.

Decide how long unsent drafts stay#

Delete unsent drafts clears drafts you left untouched past a window you choose. The original emails in your inbox are not affected.

Options are Don't delete, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, and 30 days. The default is 7 days.

Choose Don't delete to keep every draft until you remove it yourself. That is the right setting if you sometimes come back to a draft weeks later, and the wrong one if your Drafts folder is already crowded.

Keep drafts current as a thread moves#

Refresh drafts on new replies is a checkbox, on by default. When a thread gets a new message, dreamif.ai replaces the existing draft with a fresh one written against the newer message, so an old draft cannot go out answering something that has already been overtaken.

Leave it on unless you write drafts you want frozen exactly as they were.

Save#

Click Save Settings. Changes apply to drafting from that point on and do not rewrite drafts already sitting in Gmail.
