What AI Preferences Can And Cannot Change
AI preferences control how dreamif.ai writes and responds. They do not override safety rules, permission boundaries, or send confirmations.
What you can control#
- Which emails get replies — via Reply Criteria.
- How emails sound — via Drafting Style.
- How follow-ups feel — via Nurture Style and Timing.
- How voice mode responds — via Voice Assistant Instructions.
These are powerful. A well-written preference genuinely changes how dreamif.ai behaves.
What you cannot override#
No matter what you write in your preferences:
- dreamif.ai will not send an email without your confirmation.
- dreamif.ai will not access Google services you have not granted permission for.
- dreamif.ai will not bypass safety checks or create harmful content.
"My preference seems to be ignored"#
If a preference does not seem to be working, the most common reason is a higher-priority rule. For example:
- You wrote "reply to everything" but some emails are not getting replies → dreamif.ai's built-in filters still skip obvious spam and automated messages.
- You wrote "send without asking" but dreamif.ai still confirms → send confirmation cannot be turned off.
The preference saved correctly. A product rule is taking priority.
