Understand Email Settings
The Email tab controls only the signature dreamif.ai appends to the emails it drafts for you. Location, labels, and other settings live elsewhere.
Signatures#
Signature settings are split into New and Replies, configured separately. For each, choose a signature type:
- Gmail default: uses whatever signature you have set in Gmail.
- Custom: write a signature inside dreamif.ai using the built-in HTML editor. A preview shows how it will render before you save.
- No signature: dreamif.ai adds no signature at all.
Custom signatures have a 16 KB size cap. Going over it blocks the save with "Your signature is too large to save (16 KB max). Link large images by their web address instead of pasting them in."
For replies, you can also turn on Insert before quoted text to place your signature right below your reply instead of at the bottom of the whole thread.
See Set up your signature for the full walkthrough.
What moved out of this tab#
Your default location (used for local context in drafts, time zones, and nurture listing suggestions) is no longer here. It's under Settings > AI preferences > General. See Set your default location.
Labels, Calendar, and Drive each have their own tab on Settings > Integrations. This page covers Email only.
Why your Gmail and dreamif.ai signatures can look different#
These are separate settings. If you set up a custom signature in dreamif.ai, it only shows up in emails dreamif.ai drafts. Emails you compose directly in Gmail still use Gmail's own signature. If you want them to match, use Gmail default in dreamif.ai.
