Understand Email Settings

Email Settings controls how dreamif.ai handles signatures and your default city when it drafts emails for you. These settings do not affect emails you write directly in Gmail.

Signatures#

You can set different signature behavior for new emails and for replies/forwards. For each, choose:

  • Gmail Default: uses whatever signature you have set in Gmail.
  • Custom: uses a signature you write inside dreamif.ai. Useful if you want a different signature for AI-drafted emails.
  • No Signature: dreamif.ai adds no signature at all.

You can also choose whether to place your signature above the quoted text in replies, so your name stays near your reply instead of below the conversation thread.

Default city#

Your default city tells dreamif.ai where you work. It uses this when drafting emails that reference your area or local market. This helps if your emails mention neighborhoods, cities, or regions.

Why your Gmail and dreamif.ai signatures can look different#

Because these are separate settings. If you set up a custom signature in dreamif.ai, it only shows up in emails dreamif.ai drafts. Emails you compose directly in Gmail still use Gmail's own signature. If you want them to match, use Gmail Default in dreamif.ai.
