Gmail Signature vs Custom Signature

Gmail Default reuses your existing signature. Custom lets you write a different one just for dreamif.ai. Here is how to decide.

Gmail Default#

Uses whatever signature you have set up in Gmail. Choose this if:

  • Your Gmail signature already looks the way you want.
  • You want dreamif.ai-drafted emails to look identical to emails you compose in Gmail.

This is the simplest option and the right starting point for most agents.

Custom#

Uses a signature you create inside dreamif.ai. Choose this if:

  • You want a different signature for AI-drafted emails (e.g., shorter, different formatting).
  • You want different signatures for new emails vs. replies.
  • You want to include HTML formatting that differs from your Gmail setup.

No Signature#

dreamif.ai adds no signature at all. Use this for replies where you want to keep the email short, or for workflows where signatures are not needed.

You can mix and match#

You set the signature mode separately for New Emails and Replies & Forwards. For example: use Gmail Default for new emails and No Signature for replies.

If you are not sure#

Start with Gmail Default for both. Switch to Custom only if you have a specific reason.
