Gmail Signature vs Custom Signature
Gmail Default reuses your existing signature. Custom lets you write a different one just for dreamif.ai. Here is how to decide.
Gmail Default#
Uses whatever signature you have set up in Gmail. Choose this if:
- Your Gmail signature already looks the way you want.
- You want dreamif.ai-drafted emails to look identical to emails you compose in Gmail.
This is the simplest option and the right starting point for most agents.
Custom#
Uses a signature you create inside dreamif.ai. Choose this if:
- You want a different signature for AI-drafted emails (e.g., shorter, different formatting).
- You want different signatures for new emails vs. replies.
- You want to include HTML formatting that differs from your Gmail setup.
No Signature#
dreamif.ai adds no signature at all. Use this for replies where you want to keep the email short, or for workflows where signatures are not needed.
You can mix and match#
You set the signature mode separately for New Emails and Replies & Forwards. For example: use Gmail Default for new emails and No Signature for replies.
If you are not sure#
Start with Gmail Default for both. Switch to Custom only if you have a specific reason.

Set up your signature
Choose whether dreamif.ai uses your Gmail signature, a custom one, or none. Set it separately for new emails and replies.
Put Your Signature Above Quoted Text In Replies
By default, reply signatures go below the quoted conversation. Turn this on to keep your signature right below your reply instead.
