Create A Custom Label
Custom labels let you teach dreamif.ai your own inbox categories, like 'Hot Lead' or 'Showing Request', so it labels emails the way you think about them.
Steps#
- Go to Settings > Integrations, then open the Labels tab.
- Select the Custom source card.
- Add a new label and enter a name (e.g., "Showing Request").
- Choose the label's Behavior:
- Main label: exclusive. Use this for your core inbox buckets (e.g., "Hot Lead," "Transaction Update," "Personal").
- Extra label: can apply alongside the main label. Use this for secondary tags (e.g., "Urgent," "Needs Follow-Up").
- Write instructions that tell dreamif.ai when to apply this label. Be specific: "Apply to emails where someone is asking to schedule or reschedule a property showing."
- Optionally add Sender names or emails and Sender domains to match this label to specific people or companies.
- Save.
Write good instructions#
The more specific your instructions, the better dreamif.ai labels. Compare:
- Vague: "Important emails." dreamif.ai doesn't know what "important" means to you.
- Specific: "Apply to emails from clients who mention an offer, counteroffer, or asking price." dreamif.ai knows exactly what to look for.
Once a label is on, check its Recent matches panel to see how it's actually being applied and tighten the instructions from there. See Check recent label matches.
Limits#
You can have up to 50 active custom labels. Past that, saving shows "You've reached the 50 active custom label limit. Turn off or delete one to add another."
Starting over#
If your custom labels get out of hand, the Reset all to AI defaults button at the bottom of the Labels tab clears your custom setup and returns to dreamif.ai's built-in categories.

Check recent label matches
Each label has a Recent matches panel showing which real emails it's catching. Use it to check your rules are working before you rely on them.
Why Mirrored Or Custom Labels Are Unavailable
