Understand Google Connection Statuses

Each Google service tile shows one of six statuses: Connected, Not configured, Not connected, Disabled, Reconnect required, or Action required. Here is what each one means and what button fixes it.

Where to check#

Go to Settings > Integrations and open the Google tab. The Google access card has four tiles: Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts.

The six statuses#

Status What it means Button
Connected Google access is granted and the service is fully set up. Configure
Not configured Google access is granted, but a setup step is still needed. Configure
Not connected dreamif.ai does not have Google access for this service yet. Connect
Disabled Google access is granted, but you've turned the feature off. Configure
Reconnect required Google access was revoked or invalidated, often because you changed your Google password. Reconnect
Action required Something about the connection failed and needs attention. Reconnect

Configure opens the tab where you finish or adjust setup. Connect and Reconnect both open the Google consent flow; use Reconnect when access already exists but needs to be refreshed.

Gmail specifics#

Gmail has two statuses worth calling out by name, since they're easy to confuse:

  • Not configured means the mailbox watch that lets dreamif.ai see new mail hasn't started yet. This usually clears on its own within a few minutes of connecting Gmail.
  • Action required appears with the note "Watch renewal failed" when that mailbox watch failed to renew. See Why Gmail shows Not configured or Action required.

If a status won't clear#

Reconnect the affected service from the Google tab. If it still won't clear, see Reconnect a Google integration.
