Choose Selected Folders Vs Full Drive

Folders only gives you tight control over what dreamif.ai can search. Entire Drive lets it search everything. Here is how to choose and switch between them.

Folders only (recommended)#

Choose Folders only if you keep your important files in a few known folders, like listing documents, contracts, and market reports. You pick exactly which folders dreamif.ai can see by clicking Choose folders.

This is the default and the right choice for most agents. You know exactly what dreamif.ai has access to.

Entire Drive (power users)#

Choose Entire Drive if your files are scattered across dozens of folders or shared drives and you do not want to curate a list. dreamif.ai searches everything.

The trade-off: broader coverage, but dreamif.ai sees all your Drive files, including personal ones.

How to switch#

Go to Settings > Integrations, then open the Drive tab.
Select Folders only or Entire Drive.
If using Folders only, click Choose folders and add the folders you want.
Click Save Settings.

Switching to Entire Drive shows a confirmation dialog. Confirm to enable it.

The dialog title is Enable entire Drive access?.

To confirm, click Yes, enable entire Drive.

Drive indexing may take time. Large Drives can be indexed in stages.

Include My Drive root (Folders only mode)#

If you use Folders only but also have important files sitting in the top level of My Drive (not inside any folder), turn on Include top-level Drive files. This adds those loose files to dreamif.ai's search without switching to full Drive. See Include My Drive root in search.
